To begin 2026, American Airlines has taken delivery of a pair of new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. These join the fleet, bringing the total to 280 of the aircraft type, making it one of the world’s largest operators. The Dallas-based airline will now await its final 14 to bring the total number in operation for the airline to 384 (as per Planespotters).
