Why The B-2 Bomber Won’t Be Retired Anytime Soon

Will the Northrop B-2 Spirit be retiring anytime soon? The answer somewhat hinges on what ‘soon’ means, but these aircraft are currently undergoing their mid-life upgrade and are not expected to retire until the 2030s or 2040s. The Air Force is unlikely to divest its B-2s until after the B-1 Lancers retire,and the USAF has sufficient B-21s to take over.
