Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) has formally opened its new $520 million Concourse A/B Connector and Baggage Handling System Project, significantly boosting the airport’s efficiency and future capacity. As the largest capital project in the history of BWI, it includes 142,000 square feet of new construction and 78,000 square feet of renovated space, along with five upgraded gates and an advanced baggage handling system.
