For more than 30 years, the Boeing 777 family has been associated with long-haul flights connecting far-flung corners of the world. This remains the case today, with the ‘Triple Seven’ being one of the most popular series of widebody twinjet commercial aircraft out there. However, it recently made headlines after being rostered on a rather shorter route, namely British Airways’ corridor fromLondon Heathrow Airport (LHR) to Madrid (MAD).

Delta Air Lines will soon end flights on its highest-capacity equipment: the 339-seat Airbus A350. These airframes have 30 business class seats (2-2-2), along with 63 with extra legroom seats (3-3-3). And then there are 246 seats in the main cabin (also 3-3-3). Only its ex-LATAM aircraft had this configuration.
