A Christmas tree in Sydney’s Central Business District features a banner reading ‘Happy Holidays’ instead of ‘Merry Christmas,’ prompting fury from Australians who view it as offensive to Christians.
The display is located in an urban plaza surrounded by high-rise buildings including one with a UOB logo.
The banner has ignited debates on social media about preserving Christmas traditions in Australia.
