Few aircraft are of such legendary caliber as the Boeing 747, which changed the nature of commercial aviation by drastically increasing the number of seats airlines could offer on any given route. Despite its age and origins as a platform created many generations ago, the plane remains flying in the skies today for dozens of operators.
