It’s been 30 years since the second-deadliest airline crash in Japanese history (after the more deadly Japan Airlines Flight 123 in 1985). On 26 April 1994, Taiwan-based China Airlines Flight 140 (an Airbus A300B4-622R), serving the route between Taipei, Taiwan, and Nagoya, Japan, stalled on approach and crashed.
