US-based operator American Airlines, earlier this week, announced that the carrier will be retrofitting newer cabins and products on board the airline’s older sub-fleet of Boeing 777-200ERs. The airline states this would enable them to increase their premium capacity, while aligning the onboard products with the newer aircraft in the carrier’s fleet, and would help keep the aircraft operational into the next decade.
