The Boeing 767’s role in passenger operations is gradually declining as the type is increasingly replaced by newer-generation widebodies such as the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A350. Nevertheless, Delta Air Lines remains one of the few carriers actively operating the aircraft. According to ch-aviation data, Delta has a total of 61 Boeing 767s, including 40 767-300ERs and 21 of the larger-capacity 767-400ERs. The 767-300ER fleet is approaching an average age of 30 years, while the 767-400ER fleet averages about 25 years.
