Avelo Airlines has announced today that it has signed for 100 Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. It will make it the United States’ first operator of the type, and will complement the low-cost airline’s existing fleet of Boeing 737NG aircraft. The carrier says the Embraer’s will allow it to “modernize” its fleet and further improve cost efficiency and network reach.
