Independent Air was a low-price airline in Miami, Florida, that operated charter flights with two old Boeing 707s. It carried tourists on behalf of tour operators in the US and abroad. The airline had to make fuel stops en route to refuel the aircraft. The passengers, however, did not seem to mind the long trips; it was all part of the adventure of flying to holiday destinations in the Caribbean.
