The aircraft, registered A9-186, was originally reported missing in Papua New Guinea in 1943 but later discovered in 2020, with divers braving 43 meters of water to reach the aircraft.
Soldiers were able to use drones to autonomously pick out targets in woodlands in the English countryside. Operating in challenging conditions on Salisbury Plain, they explored how drone swarms could conduct co-ordinated missions using AI.
