Huddersfield and Slaithwaite stations in West Yorkshire will be closed from Saturday 19 September until Sunday 4 October to allow engineers to carry out Transpennine Route Upgrade work. They will reopen on Monday 5 October.
The new leadership of Kirklees Council has visited Huddersfield station and discussed with Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU) representatives the benefits that the improvement work will bring to passengers and local communities.
Network Rail is reminding passengers to plan ahead as work goes underway in Huddersfield and Deighton.
