Northern airlines switched to summer schedules on March 31 based on IATA slot seasons. This meant hundreds of new routes were introduced by airlines globally. Ryanair, Europe's largest operator, was no exception. It is estimated to have added around 108 routes between March 31 and April 4, with data analysis suggesting 101 are brand-new to the ultra-low-cost carrier. Readers will note that the title said "new" routes, but 94% is a very good proportion.
