The transatlantic US-Europe market is one of the most lucrative air corridors in commercial aviation, as well as being one of its most fiercely competitive. Additionally, many flights beyond Europe also cross the transatlantic, including to the Middle East and Africa. The ‘Big Three’ US airlines – American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines – all operate extensive transatlantic networks to Europe and beyond.
