From Bourke St to Covid-19: The collapse of faith in the Victoria Police

Ten years ago, Victoria Police was lavishing praise from the public — but experts knew a storm was brewing. With confidence in the police now at a record low, here’s what they say needs to happen to get the force back on track.

Public confidence was erroded over 3 key incidents the largest being covid excessive force being used on innocent people. The harassment of people taking a walk, the arresting of a woman in Ballarat and the harassment of elderly people was simply unacceptable actions from a bygone era in eastern europe.

The other major issue is the handling of the Daniel and Catherine Andrews Bike Boy incident. People have always suspected corruption.

Let us not forget or ignore the unbelievable situation and series of events surrounding Lawyer X, suspected systemic corruption with and surrounding the Victoria Police.
