The manoeuvre took place as the Australian and US Air Forces conducted refuelling trials during March and April at Eglin Air Force Base, in Florida, and Base Edwards, in California.
Dr Adriano Di Pietro will replace Max York, who quietly stepped away from the role for family reasons in April. York was a former head of GE Australia and came out of retirement to take the position at AMSL.
