Associate professor Andrew Kornberg has already raised more than $2 million of his $4.5 million target and undertook the flight in his own single-engine plane.
Acting Sub-Lieutenant Natika Dunn was awarded her wings in a joint graduation of Navy and Air Force pilots from Course 278 ADF Intermediate Pilots Course. The Wings badge is given to aircrew who achieve required proficiency in flying military aircraft.
The four trainees studied 10 weeks online and 20 weeks face-to-face, and will now return to Australia for additional instruction in Airservices’ Melbourne facility before being sent to control towers at regional airports for their final field training.
