The South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA) has signed a new 15-year Technology Partner Framework Agreement with Hitachi Rail to modernise the South Yorkshire Supertram network.
London North Eastern Railway (LNER) is to increase the number of seats on its Sunday services between West Yorkshire and London King’s Cross in December – and is celebrating with a puppet and a mural.
The offer is aimed at encouraging logistics operators and industry partners to invest in rail-based operations as part of broader efforts to promote modal shift.
