A KLMBoeing 737 flying from Sweden to the Netherlands yesterday had to divert to Germany following a reported engine fire indication. Smoke is said to have emanated from one of the engines, but, after the crew shut down the affected turbofan and landed safely, no intervention was required from the emergency services. Still, in such instances, it is always much better to be safe than sorry.
