Located just 10 miles from downtown Atlanta, Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) is one of the world's busiest airports. Named after the city's former mayors, William B. Hartsfield and Maynard Jackson, the airport encompasses 4,700 acres (19 square kilometers) and has five runways.
