Avelo Airlines is set to wind down its operations at its West Coast hub in California throughout the remainder of the calendar year, with flights to and from the facility in question ceasing altogether by December. The move marks the end of an era for the US-based budget airline, whose first flight operated withinCalifornia four years ago. Now, however, market competition has rendered its presence there unviable.
