Partnership aims to deliver satellite IoT services to Brazil

Botswana  is the latest African country to successfully send a satellite into space with the recent launch of BOTSAT-1.

Globalsat Brasil, a Brazilian affiliate of satellite telecommunications company Globalsat Group, says it is leading the modernisation of communications for the locomotives of logistics company VLI Logística, in partnership with Viasat.

The proliferation of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites has caused a sea change in a sector which has long been dominated by geostationary orbit (GSO) providers.
