In July 2025, the United States is scheduled to have a total of 13,907 flights with an average of 109 miles or fewer. These will carry 1.2 million seats and are operated by several US-based airlines. These are commercial flights and do not include regional bush flights. Interestingly, while Alaska Airlines operates some of the longest average domestic flights in the United States, it also operates the two shortest routes scheduled for July 2025.
