The lingering COVID-19 cloud that has hung over global aviation for so long now seems to be a thing of the past, at least as far as global passenger traffic is concerned. In February 2024, the world's airlines fully recovered to pre-pandemic passenger numbers, surpassing the 2019 threshold by 5.7%.
