In recent months, the new Qatari Boeing 747-8i arrived in the United States to be reconfigured into the next Air Force One aircraft. This aircraft will eventually replace the aging VC-25A Air Force Ones that are currently in service. The VC-25A fleet, which is based on the Boeing 747-200B, is over thirty years old. However, the new Boeing 747-8i is much newer.

The long-delayed new Air Force One jets from Boeing might now be delivered as soon as 2027. While that’s still years behind the original delivery date of 2022, it’s two years earlier than Boeing had recently predicted back in February. President Donald Trump had expressed frustration over the delays, but this new delivery schedule would ensure he could use the new aircraft before the end of his term.
