On July 2, I was on Etihad Airways’ first flight ever from Abu Dhabi to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. This was to celebrate the route’s launch, which is the carrier’s new longest link by distance. I traveled in business class as a guest of the airline. I was on A6-XWE, a 5.9-year-old Airbus A350-1000. It was a nearly full flight.
