Aviation Safety Under Government Review Following Air India Crash

On Thursday, June 12th, 2025,Air India Flight 171 crashed shortly after departing Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (AMD) in Ahmedabad for London Gatwick Airport (LGW) in the United Kingdom. The tragedy represented the first ever fatal accident and hull loss incident for the Boeing 787 ‘Dreamliner’ family, and all but one of the jet’s 242 occupants died in the crash, as well as 19 on the ground.
