EP Logistics International establishes a subsidiary in Hungary

The Czech transport company EP Logistics International is moving into the Hungarian market with its own subsidiary. The new company, SI CARGO Hungária, conducted its inaugural journey on 15 June.
SI CARGO Hungária moved agricultural products from Hungary to Italy via Slovenia. However, the company makes sure to point out that it transports a broad range of freight, including industrial freight.

It is the first railway undertaking of the EP Logistics Group that is registered in Hungary. That does not mean that EP Logistics International (EPLI) was absent in the country before, but it operated with a Czech license. “The launch of SI CARGO Hungária marks a strategic milestone in the EPLI’s plan to strengthen its own licensed presence in key European markets”, EP Logistics International explains.

Expansion

“Establishing SI CARGO Hungária gives us greater flexibility and control in a region that is vital for international rail freight flows. With our own licensed operator, we can deliver more efficient and reliable transport services tailored to our customers’ needs,” elaborates András Végh, CEO of the company.

EPLI is developing rail services across the region in cooperation with the Slovenian SŽ – Tovorni Promet and SŽ EP Logistika. It is also considering an expansion of its operational model into other southeastern European countries.
