More than 1,800 Airbus A380 flights are scheduled to European destinations this month, according to the aviation analytics company Cirium. Six airlines will operate the double-decker aircraft on routes connecting various parts of the world to Europe.

On August 1st, a British Airways Airbus A380 flying from Johannesburg OR Tambo International in South Africa to London Heathrow was forced to return to its point of origin due to reports of smoke in the cabin. It was later revealed that the problem even affected the jet’s crew rest area.The issue forced the double-decker quadjet to return to Johannesburg. Because it didn’t perform a fuel dump, the landing was fairly heavy.
That is a lot of flights the A380 is still the workhorse of the skies with passenger numbers.
