Carlton‘s club headquarters in Melbourne has been vandalised following a huge loss to Port Adelaide on Thursday night.
Graffiti that was sprayed on the walls of the building after the Blues were thrashed by the Power.
It reads, “Sack the board, sack (Nick) Austin and (Brad) Lloyd. Keep (Michael) Voss. TDK (Tom de Koning) yes or no?”.
As a hawthorn supporter I cannot say with any certainty I am broken hearted but I do feel for Voss as the coach. There is something wrong with the players ans their approach to the game. They are making a statement about the club I think.
Voss preached unity in his post-match media conference on Thursday night and Lloyd echoed that message, while condemning the ‘toxic’ actions of vandals who graffitied the walls of Carlton’s Ikon Park home overnight.
The spraypainted messages, which were cleaned off on Friday morning, called for the Blues to keep Voss and instead change the board.
“There’s behaviours that can work towards getting better outcomes for the club and there are probably toxic behaviours as well that don’t help anyone,” Lloyd said.
“The pressure is enormous at the moment but we need to stick together as a team, as a club. The ‘stronger together’ message, there’s no other way around that really.”
Geee I wonder why people are getting so worked up over a Footy game?
One could think the put hefty bet for their team to win and livid the lost their alot money due their loss!!!
If they put the same energy and passion into who leads the country for benifit of all the same way they barrack for a footy team it maybe the welfare of Australia and high taxes could being a non event……
A bit of grog and some who can’t hold their drink goes ballastic over anything!!!
This very trival compared to the people about lose their business or livehood due to state of the country being the 2nd highest taxed country in the world!!!
