The Boeing 747 was once the unquestioned queen of the skies. The dynamic aircraft featured a widebody configuration, allowing it to fly more passengers than any aircraft that came before it. The massive aircraft is still used extensively today by operators in Europe and Asia, which use the latest model from the Boeing 747 family, the 747-8, to serve destinations all across their global networks. The same, however, cannot be said of Boeing 747 operations that took place within the United States.
