U Mobile signs on OCK as second 5G in-building coverage partner

Indian telco Bharti Airtel said on Tuesday it has signed a deal to deploy 5G core network solutions from Ericsson as part of its plan to transition to a 5G standalone (SA) network.

India’s Department of Telecommunications (DoT) announced on Friday that its next spectrum auction – which will put more 5G bands on the block – will commence on May 20, and has invited all players to apply.
