U Mobile signs on OCK as second 5G in-building coverage partner

Pan-African operators Vodacom and Orange say they have formed a rural towerco partnership in Africa. The partnership is described as a first of its kind.

Malaysian telco and second licenced 5G operator U Mobile said on Thursday it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with state-backed Melaka ICT Holdings (MICTH) to boost deployment of its 5G network in Malacca.

e& UAE announced on Tuesday it has launched what it claims is the first commercial 5G network slicing product in the MENA region for business customers on its standalone 5G network.
