US Airways is a legendary carrier. For decades, it was one of the largest airlines in the United States, and it carried millions of passengers from its hubs to destinations across the globe. However, you will not see US Airways jets still flying commercially in the skies today, and you cannot buy a ticket for any flight with the carrier. The airline ceased its own operations formally in 2015 when it merged with American Airlines to create the world’s largest passenger air carrier.
