In April 2023, an American Airlines Airbus A321-200, registration N143AN, sustained multiple bird strikes after taking off from Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD). American flight 2611 was bound for Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) with 174 passengers and six crew when multiple birds struck it during the initial climb from Runway 10L. The bird strike resulted in multiple hydraulic and engine issues being detected in the cockpit.
