Over this upcoming Memorial Day travel weekend, both the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are preparing for high passenger and flight volumes as the United States kicks off its peak summer travel season. During the period starting on May 22 and ending on May 28, the TSA anticipates screening more than 18 million travelers as REAL ID compliance requirements come into effect for the first time.
