The TWU has called for the airline to be fined a maximum of $121 million, which would be in addition to the $120 million in compensation it’s required to pay to 1,800 affected employees.
The regional Queensland airline, which was last year purchased by global aviation firm Avia Solutions Group, received its first A319, registered VH-L7A, in mid-December. Its second – to be registered VH-L7C – arrived at the end of last month.
