Singapore Airlines is one of the world’s top-ranked airlines and one of the most famous carriers in Asia. It operates a fleet of around 157 aircraft, of which the bulk (87%) are widebody aircraft. Singapore Airlines’ mainline narrowbody fleet is made up of 20 Boeing 737 aircraft. Four are Boeing 737-800s and 16 are current-generation Boeing 737 MAX 8s. The Boeing 737 MAX 8 has a maximum range of 3,500 nautical miles or over 4,000 miles.

Check out the Airbus A380 production list and you’ll see that the very first superjumbo ever produced is active with Airbus as a testbed. But moving down the list, the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th A380s are either preserved or scrapped. But the A380 with MSN 006 is listed as parked.Belonging to wet-lease carrier Hi Fly, the jet is supposed to be flying for UK A380-based startup Global Airlines in the future. So, if all goes according to plan, Global will takeover from Emirates as the carrier operating the world’s oldest passenger A380!
