‘Deplorable’: Frustrated V/Line commuters flood the 3AW talkback line

Multiple callers on the 3AW talkback line have voiced their frustrations on the state of V/Line, and the complications they face on a near daily basis commuting from the country.

It comes after signal faults impacted both the Geelong and Ballarat lines this morning, with no communication to commuters and nothing on the website.

“It’s absolutely deplorable,” caller Sarah said on 3AW Drive.

  1. The community of Warrnambool were warned about the changes to Vlocity trains and now look at the issues. The service has really fallen with calls to 3AW on this soundbite stating the bus was now a better option than the train to Warrnambool/Melbourne. Who will lose their job over this appalling decision?

    1. Recall the council was all pro vlocity trains and supported the government, then there were the lies from the local members stating they were not going to reduce capacity and they have. The local member should lose her seat over this one.

  2. The Ballarat Line has collapsed again this morning with delays of over an hour on the line.

V/Line have become the most incompetent operator in the country.

  3. Network is shut more than it is open. Ballarat line closed once again. Warrnambool line cancellations are almost daily.

    1. It because the VoLcity IMU railcars are pushed past their mechanical limitations and stress threshold in the function time and not fit for purpose!!!

They are now suffering mechanical failure….
