The Boeing 747 has graced our skies for almost six decades since the original prototype, the 747-100 named “The City of Everett,” completed its maiden flight in 1969. Since then, “The Queen of the Skies” has written itself firmly into aviation lore as a trailblazer of innovation, becoming the world’s largest passenger jet until surpassed by the Airbus A380 nearly half a century after its debut.
