What Caused This JetBlue Airbus A321 To Return To Boston Shortly After Takeoff?

On April 21, 2025, JetBlue flight 861, a scheduled service from Boston to San Juan, returned to Boston Logan International Airport shortly after departure. The Airbus A321-200, tail number N955JB, was forced to return to its origin airport due to a hydraulic failure that affected its landing gear. The event raised safety concerns and disrupted the travel plans of over 200 passengers.
