United Airlines Becomes 1st US Airline To Fly To This Unusual Destination: How Does It Choose Its Routes?

United Airlines made history by becoming the first carrier in the United States to offer flights to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, on May 1, 2025. The US carrier is authorized to fly its passengers from Tokyo to other destinations across Asia. As a result, the new service to Mongolia will operate from the airline’s international hub at Tokyo Narita International Airport (NRT) in Japan.
