The aviation summer is fast approaching, with northern airlines switching to summer schedules on March 31. Come April, there will be almost 4,000 long-haul flights daily (both ways combined). For this, 3,000 miles (4,828 km) is used as the cut-off point, just as it is by United Airlines. This means that the highly intriguing Saint Pierre-Paris CDG flights would not qualify.
