An air traffic controller has told the media in the US that passengers should avoid flying to and from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) due to its airspace being unsafe following a recent air traffic control outage. The airport, which is located to the west of New York City in the US state of New Jersey, was recently in the news for all the wrong reasons after its ATC systems lost contact with flights.
