Today, the longest non-stop commercial passenger flight is the almost 19-hour Singapore to New York route, with Singapore Airlines followed by the Qatar Airways flight from Doha to Auckland, New Zealand. The massive long-distance flights are only possible thanks to modern widebody aircraft that have opened up the world and made it a smaller place.
