During the second half of last year, it became clear that the China-Europe aviation market would be shifting considerably in favor of the East. Due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, a lack of access to Russian airspace has significantly increased flight times and operational costs, ultimately impacting profits and European airlines’ competitiveness on the market versus their Chinese and Asian counterparts.
