The Airbus A300 was Airbus’ first production aircraft and its ticket to success. The airliner was developed by Airbus Industrie GIE (which later merged into Airbus SE) and was built between 1971 and 2007. Over 550 examples were built in several variants, and most of these have now been withdrawn from use and scrapped. However, the notable expectation is Iran, where all of the world’s remaining operational passenger A300-600s can be found today.
