The ShinMaywa US-2 is a Japanese amphibious aircraft with short takeoff and landing (STOL) capability. With its maiden flight in December 2003, the aircraft was introduced in March 2007. ShinMaywa US-2 is known for its enhanced boundary layer control technology, allowing superior stall suppression performance.
