Zimbabwe’s NetOne partners with AST SpaceMobile for D2D 5G

Zimbabwe mobile operator NetOne has reportedly struck a deal with direct-to-device (D2D) LEO satellite operator AST SpaceMobile to expand the reach of its 5G services once the satellite network is available in Africa.

Orange said on Tuesday it has launched a project to replace the existing satellite infrastructure of the Wallis and Futuna Islands in the South Pacific with connectivity from satellite operator SES’s O3b mPOWER system.
